Liverpool Claims Win, Preventing Fulham from Scoring

Liverpool vs Fulham

Liverpool showcased their attacking prowess as they netted two goals in the Premier League encounter against Fulham at Anfield. The home side cruised to a convincing 2-0 victory, leaving Fulham unable to find the back of the net.

It was Rio Ngumoha who opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 36th minute of the goalless match, with an assist by Florian Wirtz.

"We've played many games like this this season but unfortunately that didn't always lead to a win or a clean sheet. I think we deserved to win but it wasn't as if we completely dominated the game," Arne Slot said following Liverpool's victory.

Liverpool increased the lead to 2-0 just before the half-time whistle as Mohamed Salah netted, with an assist by Cody Gakpo. The second half was goalless and the match ended with a 2-0 win for Liverpool.

Fulham are in 11th place after the game, while Liverpool are in fifth.

Liverpool play Everton on 19 April, Crystal Palace on 25 April and Manchester United (away) on 3 May. Fulham's next opponents are Brentford on 18 April, Aston Villa on 25 April and Arsenal (away) on 2 May.
